My news and insights
London silhouette panoramic prints for offices.
At the beginning and the end of the day when the sun is low in the sky in a city landscape silhouettes are everywhere. If you pointed an iPhone at the image below is would’t allow you to underexpose the subject and over expose the sky. If you used the automatic setting on a camera the same would happen as the metering system on auto would take a reading from the large expanse of very bright sky. You’re also looking directly at the sun.
Framed Prints of Richmond Hill in Autumn. London.
London is such a green city and even in the high rise bits in the city there are pockets of green everywhere. The change of season, particularly in Autumn make our green city a photographers dream. Every year I take a trip to the top of Richmond Hill and take this shot again. I always try and get enough elevation so I can see the bend of the river. It’s a panoramic view too so I have a number of panoramic prints of this view in my gallery.
Why we use black frames. Black frames work well as sets.
You’ll see in my galleries all of my prints are in black frames. There are two reasons for this. I like to show my clients a real print in a real frame because I make everything by hand and I like to think that my prints work so well in sets that the frames need to be the same.
Framed Prints of Battersea Power Station London.
Battersea Powers station has undergone huge change since I started producing prints of it in 1985. Then it was all a bit of an eyesore and one developer after another would promise all sorts of improvements and then go bust or sell it on to the next developer. I’ve lived in South London since then and I have a large set of limited edition colour and black and white prints.
Framed prints of Prague. Perfect for a for home office.
Prague is a photographers dream and over the years I’ve taken some of my best black and white images there. The first time I went to Prague I went on a stag trip and didn’t take that many images but I knew I had to go back. The second time I took more gear than I needed and I came back from that trip and made some amazing black and white prints which I still have running as limited editions today.
Albert Bridge at Night and London prints
When I first came to London in February 1985 I had a friend who lived in South West London and I was invited to a party in Battersea Park. As a young photographer thinking about what I should do next in my life I stood next to The Thames looking out of the most beautiful bridge. When I first saw The Albert Bridge and had no idea that it would play such a large part in my life.
Prints of London. Panoramic prints and large sizes.
If you live in a small London flat and wall space is limited then it makes sense to pick a print that is proportional to the wall space you have. Our medium size framed print is generally about right at 26"x20", the print size 18"x12". The price is £145.00. If you work in an office and you have acres of wall space a panoramic at 52” wide would fill the space nicely. Panoramic prints are perfect for offices.
My history with black and white prints of London.
I first stated photographing and making prints in the late 1980’s. I had just purchased a second hand Bronica Etrs 80 and I was having fun and learning all about the medium format shape.
Large Framed prints, perfect for offices
Panoramic prints and the large size prints we do are generally best suited to offices. If one standalone print doesn’t do the job then a set of smaller matching prints will sometimes be just as good. Most offices like the larger prints.
Panoramic prints are perfect for offices.
Offices often have large spaces to fill. Reception areas and boardrooms have a lot of wall space. Panoramic prints are the perfect solution when there’s lots of space and one standalone print is required. The print below is 52” wide. It’s big. This office in Chichester needed a large print in their reception area.
Framed New York prints for your London office.
Having good art on your office walls is good for your employee’s well-being and of course it sends a strong message to your clients that come to visit you. It’s very important to have good framed prints hanging on your walls. We do some very large sizes and some of our panoramic prints are perfect as standalone pieces in reception areas and large spaces that need filling.
London Prints and New York Prints for an office.
Sets of prints work in offices. There is always a corridor or a room that requires a few prints that match. Below is an office with two adjoining rooms with matching London prints. Black and white prints together can work well as sets. Offices that have branches in other cities often need prints from that city.

Prints of London. Autumn in the capital.
Although it’s mid winter and we’re eagerly waiting for spring I thought I would write about the colours in autumn. Most of my work is in black and white but I do love producing colour prints.

In the London prints section of our website there is a new category named London Panoramics. You can see them all here. Panoramics are large framed prints and they are perfect for offices or large wall spaces. They are also perfect as standalone prints where just one large print is required such as an office reception area or a boardroom. They are 52” wide and they are large prints.
Beautiful prints of Paris in colour and black and white.
The bridges in Paris are a photographic study in itself and I have sets of colour and black and white of just the lights. These sorts of sets work well in offices when a set of 4 or 5 prints need to fill a corridor or there’s a large boardroom wall to fill.
Framed prints of New York for an office.
Our set of prints of new York includes all the highlights you would expect. There’s Skyscrapers, Central park, Statue of Liberty and even yellow cabs on 42nd Street. New York for me has always been the most exciting to photograph.
