A city Law firm in London have been talking with us about some new prints on the walls of their office. There’s not a great deal of wall space but they were keen to make an impact and everybody in the office was given a vote on what they all wanted to see hanging on the walls. Black ans white framed prints of London was the consensus.

Shrewsbury is a market town about an hour north west of Birmingham. It has a river, It’s a very pretty town. The Severn River runs in a loop around it.

As you’ll know if you’ve been reading my blog I lived in London for may years and If you lived in Clapham from about 2003 until 2013 you’ll remember my stall in Northcote Road market. I used to sell framed pictures there on a Friday and Saturday.

Big Ben is the nickname for the Great Bell of the Great Clock of Westminster. I’ve been photographing it for years and I’ve used it as a backdrop for many of my London prints, I’ve photographed light streaks in front of it, photographed it in the snow, at sunset and at sunrise……

It's one of London's urban legends that an American entrepreneur once thought he was buying Tower Bridge, but purchased London Bridge instead. I’ve been photographing Tower bridge for years in colour and in black and white.

Framed Prints of Paris are perfect for offices, homes and gifts. There’s so much subtlety in the landscape in Paris and I think more about the grey tones in the black and white images I take.

Skyscrapers in New York are challenging to photograph. You either have to get far away from them and photograph a row of them or you stand in the street and look up at them. Or get up high. Cityscapes in London are a bit easier as the bridges afford good views and there’s a river running through it so you can get good views from the other side.

This blog is a little out of date but in January it snowed in London and here are a few highlights within the set of prints I made. I travelled mostly by bike, train into the centre of London, along the river through Clapham and Battersea and ended up in Wimbledon.

London bridge is synonymous with commuters. Capturing the movement against the static Tower Bridge in the background requires a slower shutter speed than normal. The camera also needed to be on a tripod in order to keep the tower bridge element of the image sharp.

The definition of Fine art photography is: Fine Art Photography is a mode of photography where creative expression takes centre stage. Basically it’s a photographic print that can be displayed where the viewer will appreciate it for its content and the skill it would have taken to make it.

When I first started selling my prints in London on the Northcote Road market on Fridays and Saturdays it was a popular print. As it was a limited edition I quickly ran out of prints I could sell. An estate agent once joked that most houses they had for sale in Clapham had that black and white Albert Bridge print hanging somewhere.

Many years ago before I started my gallery I had a market stall on Northcote Road in South West London where I sold my framed prints on a Friday and Saturday. Occasionally in those early days I would be asked to do a commission.

Framed prints are great gifts. For the man or woman who has everything a reminder of a time or a place can be the perfect gift. A number of our clients have given our prints to colleagues for retirement and leaving presents.

Health and wellness have become mainstays in office culture discussions. As organisations define their new normal, employee wellbeing must be a top priority.

There’s a huge choice out there of art that can be put of office walls. And a lot of it is inexpensive. There is also a lot of ‘fine art photography’ to choose from. When you key in for example ‘Prints of London for and office’ we lurk around the bottom of the first page, sometimes somewhere on the second page.

Corridors are tricky and so are stairs. If you put prints in a corridor will people look at them? Is there room for your visitors to stand back an appreciate the piece?

A light streak requires a slow shutter speed and the camera needs to be sitting on a tripod. It tests every element of your skill as a photographer and I feel very smug when I’ve been successful with one.

Panoramic prints are something I love. There's something so versatile about the shape and the size. They're perfect for a large space like an office wall or a corridor.
